Salutations
Happy 2026 Everyone! It’s been less than a month and if you live in America like I do, holy shit.
A Reminder
In these more than trying times, I find it an important moment to remind people of what Minervalus Art is about. A quote from my welcome newsletter about why I chose my name is “I adopted this name as my business name, because it was unique like I hoped my art would be, it brought to mind skill which I hoped to continue to gain as I practiced, and it represented a combination of people and ideas, and my art is a combination of all the experiences and influences that created me.”
I strongly believe that we are all a patchwork of ideas and values and people that influenced us. We are a product of our environments and experiences. Everyone has value and has an impact on our lives and none of us have grown up without being influenced by others. If you think that someone is less than you because they look different or grew up different or got to your country in a different way than you did, then get the fuck out of here. Everyone has value and has experiences you can learn from and if you can’t see that, then you don’t belong here.
Experiences and perspectives are vital to my art. I want my art to be interpreted in different ways and I am always interested in what others have to say. It’s cool if you like my art, it’s okay if you don’t like my art, but if you think that others don’t deserve to exist, I don’t want you here.
Making Art
I think it is important to continue to create in this time. So I will continue to do that. If you need a breath from the world and to rest your eyes, I will continue to be here, making pretty, hopeful, and intricate pieces for you to look at.

“And Yet We Glow“ Digital Design
I’m not sure if I ever discussed the meaning behind “And Yet We Glow”. I made it one night during 2025. I wanted to create a symbol of hope, an enduring light that wouldn’t go out in the dark. I chose the phrase ‘and yet we glow’ because I wanted a feeling of resiliency, of never ending resistance. Some people are exhausted and burnt out and one way to continue fighting is to continue existing in a place that wants them dead. The lantern is resolute and shows the way to carry on even in the darkest night.

“We all ROT the Same” Digital Design
“We all ROT the Same“ is a design about equality. It’s a reminder that we will die, we will decay, and we will become something else entirely. It doesn’t matter what status you have or what kind of life you have lived. I believe you should love who you love, be kind to those around you, and live by what you believe, so when the worms come, you will have lived a life worth living according to yourself. None of us are above the rot.
